We are a team that has grown together over many years. We support and inspire one another, and when needed, we step in for each other. As midwives working with a holistic approach, we provide comprehensive care and create space for you to grow as a family. Through our training, academic studies, and individual additional qualifications, we are able to support you during the special phases of pregnancy and becoming parents.

Students of midwifery science complete their out-of-hospital placements with us and are supervised and guided by our team of midwives.

Coordination

Pfeil

I support the Spree Hebammen team part-time in organisational matters. I manage incoming emails, coordinate registrations for birth preparation and postnatal recovery classes, and ensure that enquiries from pregnant people, postpartum mothers, and parents are forwarded promptly to the midwives.

I was born in 1996 and have been working as a midwife since 2022. In my work, it is important to me to provide care that is evidence-based, empathetic, queer-sensitive, non-judgmental, and as accessible as possible.
For me, evidence-based practice means aligning information and recommendations around pregnancy and birth with current scientific knowledge. Working without judgment means meeting families and their lifestyles, questions, and challenges with openness and respect, and finding individual, needs-oriented solutions together.

Yoga

Pfeil

I was born in 1979 in Bombay (India) and am a trained Hatha yoga teacher with a special focus on pregnancy yoga, postnatal yoga, baby massage, and yoga classes for babies and children. As a mother of two children, I have personally experienced the supportive effects of yoga during pregnancy and after birth.
Through my background, I have a close connection to the tradition of Indian baby massage, which I enjoy sharing with parents and their babies. I currently offer baby massage courses for families as well as father-child playgroups for children up to 18 months old. My father-child programs (“Daddy’s Day Out”) create a dedicated and supportive space for fathers and their children.

Physiotherapy/
Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pfeil

I am Mian (no pronouns, they/them, elle) and I work in the practice as a physiotherapist and yoga teacher. My focus is on evidence-based pelvic floor and pain therapy, as well as queer-sensitive and appreciative communication.
I support people during pregnancy and after birth, for example in cases of incontinence, pain, prolapse symptoms, or questions related to sexuality. In my work, I combine physical treatment with an awareness of the emotions and relationships connected to these experiences.

Instructor

Pfeil

I was born in Berlin and am a trained instructor in feminist self-defence and assertiveness (WenDo), a trauma educator, and a social scientist. My work focuses on gender-based violence, social role expectations, and topics related to parenthood and motherhood. As a mother of one child, I combine professional expertise with personal experience.
In my work, I create safe spaces for exchange and aim to empower people to expand their ability to act and to follow their own path with confidence and self-determination. A trauma-sensitive approach and a mindful awareness of different experiences of violence, discrimination, and gender diversity are fundamental to my work.
